Just few steps from Swiss border and 40 km from Milan, Como has a fantastic lake and it is a perfect location for a sunny day off far from Milan: one hour by train. You can decide to go with TRENORD (from “Milano Cadorna” to “Como Lago”) or TRENITALIA(From Milano Centrale to Como San Giovanni).
Both around 4,80 EURO (One way) but from Cadorna there are trains more often (every 30 minutes).
City of Romeo & Juliet is very easy to reach from Milan. Journey is 1:22 minutes for a reasonable price. Trains are available every hours from Milano Central Station or Milano Lambrate.
